Easy Minty Truffles recipe

These truffles are incredibly easy to make and can be made up to 3 or 4 days in advance. Pop them into little glass jars or cellophane bags to give away as gifts, or put them into a bowl and onto the table with all of the other food so people can have a sweet nibble.

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g milk chocolate
  • 100ml double cream
  • 1 tsp. peppermint essence
  • High quality cocoa powder

Method of Preparation:

  1. Roughly chop the chocolate until itís in small, equal-sized pieces.

  2. Heat the cream in a pan until just boiling. Remove it from the heat immediately and pour the hot cream over the chocolate. Add the peppermint. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and mixed with the cream, with no lumps.

  3. Put the bowl into the fridge and let it set for three or four hours.

  4. Once set, pour the cocoa powder into a baking tin, pat your hands in the cocoa powder and then scoop out bits of the truffle mixture and roll it in your hands until you have a ball shaped truffle. Roll it in the cocoa powder and then place it onto a plate.

  5. Once youíve made all the truffles, put them into the fridge and let them set.
