Chocolate Truffles recipe

These decadent chocolate truffles are so easy to make, you’ll never buy another box.

  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 150g milk chocolate
  • 100ml double cream
  • 100g icing sugar
  • 100g dark chocolate

Method of Preparation:

  1. Melt the 150g dark chocolate and the 150g milk chocolate in a plastic bowl sitting on top of a pan of boiling water. Keep an eye on it so that it doesn’t burn. Once completely melted, remove from the heat.

  2. Heat the cream in a little saucepan until just below boiling point. Whisk the cream into the melted chocolate until fully combined, and then put the bowl into the fridge for at least five hours to let the mixture set.

  3. Once set, pour the icing sugar onto a baking tray and shake around a bit.

  4. Use a tsp. to get out bits of the truffle mixture and then roll them between your hands to create balls. Drop them into the icing sugar and roll them around in it, then place the finished ball onto a cooled plate or tray. Once finished, place the tray into the fridge and leave the truffles to set for a few hours.

  5. Melt the dark chocolate and dip the truffles into it, then leave them to set once more.
