Chocolate Mints recipe

These chocolate mints are absolutely delicious and the homemade version is even better than the well-known shop-bought version!


  • 250g icing sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp. double cream
  • 1 tsp. peppermint extract
  • 200g dark chocolate

Method of Preparation:

  1. Mix together the icing sugar, egg white, double cream and peppermint extract in a bowl until you can no longer use a spoon to mix. At this stage, turn the mixture out onto your work-surface, sprinkle it with more icing sugar and work it with your hands.

  2. Make little balls of the mixture and place them onto a tray or a plate. Put the balls into the fridge and let them set for an hour or so.

  3. Melt the chocolate and dip the balls into the chocolate, then put them back onto the tray and into the fridge to set.
